                             THE JAN HUIJBREGTS SUPERPAIR ! CHAMPION "016" AND ZOONTJES HEN !!

Jan Huijbregts from Bladel, a superstar in the hotspot of pigeon racing Reusel & Bladel, the man to beat to win ! In 1992 Herman Beverdam had the first contact and visit of the Huijbregts loft after studying the results and results that others had with his pigeons. Jan and his son Lau formed a partnership. The old birds were raced at Jans lofts and the youngbirds were racing at the lofts of Lau at a different location. The results in both lofts were pheonominal ! It would take pages to list their fine results and wins of  championships. The family of their championbreed goes back to the birds of Jans father to which he added some De Klaks, Janssens through Witvrouwen of Arendonk, later some Wal Zoontjes direct and through Wim de Heus. The birds of his father partly orginated through the old lines of Bladel Champion Jansen de Smed, from which loft also They Hartogs found his fame. At the time of the virst aquisitions two hens were responsible for the fame of the loft of Jan Huijbregts. These were NL80-860917, THE "17" HEN and her daughter NL83-935916, "16" HEN. Both exceptional racers, winners and Champion Ace Pigeons, beating widowers! The "16" HEN was OVERALL CHAMPION in 1986 ! After having introduced the Huijbregts in Herman Beverdams lofts and the succes with them worldwide, the name Huijbregts quickly became famous ! Many fanciers were winning and the fame of the Huijbregts was at their top, when Jans son Lau died. It was 1999 and Jan was devastated as his many friends. The future in pigeons was tragicly fallen in pieces and Jan had lost his "sport" with the sudden death of his son. The magnificent new lofts at Lau's house had to go, the pigeons etc. Also in that horrible period  Jan decided to sell all his stock to Herman Beverdam, except the birds that were at his sons loft. These were Lau's birds and he did not want to sell these. It needs no further explanation that the very best came to Herman Beverdams lofts, the foundation stockbirds, the topwinners at Jans loft all in one go! They were added to the superb family of Huijbregts that Herman Beverdam had collected through the years of friendship with Jan. Whenever a super pigeon had to leave....Herman Beverdam had first refusal ! The pairs listed below are the Jan Huijbregts that Herman Beverdam selected for himself, won for Herman, from which fanciers world-wide have bred their SUPERSTARS of the Sky.
